近年、LINEやSNSなどのテキストベースのコミュニケーションが一般的になっています。

本作ではあえて、電話を用いた音声言語でのコミュニケーションに焦点をあてます。

音声言語は、相手の声のニュアンスや電話を受けるタイミングによって、伝わる内容や解釈が変わることがあります。テキストだけでは伝えきれない多くの要素が含まれているのではないでしょうか。

今回の設定は、夕食後に、予期せぬ職場関係者や友人からの着信履歴に気づいた一人暮らしの女性が、日々のストレスや寂しさから、気心の知れた誰かと話したくなり、離れて暮らす家族や友人と電話を通じてコミュニケーションをとりながら、音声による対話の本質を探るパフォーマンスワークです。

Work Summary

In recent years, text-based communication such as LINE and social media has become the norm.

In this work, we deliberately focus on voice communication via telephone.

Unlike text, voice communication conveys nuances through tone and timing of the call, which can change the meaning or interpretation of the message. There are many elements that text alone cannot fully express.

The setting of this piece is a woman living alone who, after dinner, notices unexpected missed calls from coworkers or friends. Feeling stressed and lonely, she longs to talk with someone familiar. Through phone conversations with family and friends living apart, the performance explores the essence of voice-based dialogue.
